Working with Islesburgh Drama Group, SFA material was used as part of a production of The Crucible (Arthur Miller) in November 2019. Here the film wasn’t the point of interest on its own - it had to work alongside actors, costumes, and sets to communicate a story.
A big challenge was working out timing = we had to prepare the films to be a certain length of time, which would always be fixed. However, there is some variation in how long an act in a live play will last. We had to work out ways to devise cues with the technicians so they could change to the next film when each act ends.
