A short film inspired by a witch's bowl taken home to Shetland from Baltic countries, and said to be used by witches to conjure up stormy seas to sink ships. With an impressive cast of actors and atmospheric treatment, Clint's film is visually and historically fascinating.

Ebb Tide is a series of short films commissioned as part of the cultural programme celebrating the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. Produced in partnership with Shetland Arts and Shetland Heritage Association.


The looming spectre of real gallows against Shetland’s hill and the actor’s costumes, blowing in the wind, made for an eerie atmosphere in this dramatic short film.
