This film is of a summer holiday off Shetland; with children and adults are seen playing near a caravan park. A variety of games and toys are referenced, emphasising the relaxed and carefree atmosphere of the freedom to play. The children featured in the film are seen wearing mock feather headdresses, and carrying toy bows and arrows. Although reference to ‘Cowboys and Indians’ is not politically correct to a modern audience, it will resonate with people who grew up between the 1960s to the 1980s. From a sociological perspective, it evidences the cross-cultural influence of (for example) American movies and narratives, which were prevalent at this time.
